It was in St. Louis where she crossed paths with her soulmate, Robert D. McKeage, and on July 9, 1955, they embarked on a lifelong journey of love and companionship. Their union was blessed with the birth of a daughter, Debra Jean, on November 7, 1959. However, the family was touched by tragedy when Debra Jean passed away on March 31, 1963. Despite this heart-wrenching loss, Barbara and Robert’s love for each other and their enduring spirit remained unshaken.
