After spending her childhood in El Monte, California, she and her family eventually made their way back to the Altus region when she was an adult.

She had an amazing skill in the garden and was able to successfully cultivate practically anything. Alice’s parents, Jesse and Rosie Lee Duke, as well as her husband of 12 years, Marcus Hopp, as well as three of her brothers, Delbert Duke, Benny Duke, and Donald Duke, as well as one of her sisters, Virginia Duke, all went away before to Alice’s passing.
