Gresham motorist runs red light, injuring 2-year-old boy. A little after 3 o’clock in the afternoon, a collision was reported in the 8700 block of South Vincennes Avenue. A man in his twenties driving a red SUV westbound on 87th Street through an intersection with a red light did not stop when the light turned red. A sedan travelling in the opposite direction, towards the north, collided with the front passenger side of the vehicle on Vincennes Avenue. The police said the SUV crashed into the side bumper of another SUV that was heading south on Vincennes Avenue. The driver of this SUV appeared to be going the wrong way. The red SUV then crashed into a pole and stopped. According to reports, two female occupants in the red car were taken there in critical condition via ambulance. According to the cops, they made it to the clinic. A young child in the SUV, estimated to be no more than two years old, was also rushed to Comer Children’s Hospital in critical condition. The police say they have the driver of the red Vehicle in custody and that they recovered a weapon from the crash site.
