He was born on December 15, 1939 in Cresaptown, Maryland, and his parents, Arthur and Elsie Stevanus, both passed away before he was born. He was their son. During the time that Harold was married to both of his wives, Wanda June (Sisk) Stevanus and Pauline Shirley (Huffman) Stevanus, they both passed away. Harold had lost both of his wives. His sister, Pauline (Stevanus), who went away before he did, was named Winters. She was the person who took her place immediately. He is survived by his two children, Cheryl Reecher and Mark Stevanus; his two step-children, Keith Williams and Bret Williams; his sister, Freda (Stevanus) Crowe; his brothers, Fay Stevanus and Ray Stevanus; as well as seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fay Stevanus and Freda (Stevanus) Crowe. His parents and his wife, Freda (Stevanus) Crowe, passed away before he did. She was his immediate predecessor. After spending the most of his childhood in Cresaptown, where he also completed his high school education, he moved to Allegany and attended Allegany High School, from which he graduated in 1957. It was a requirement of his employment at Wilson Welding & Supply, Celanese, and Hilltop Fruit Market, among others, for him to be able to operate a commercial vehicle.
