There is a huge hole in the SAAS League family after Joe Meuris’s tragic death. All of the league’s players and staff have gotten together to show their sympathy and support for Meuris’s loved ones. Athletes, coaches, and fans alike have flocked to pay tribute to Meuris for his skill and integrity. The SAAS League has announced their plans to create a memorial fund in Joe Meuris’s name. To perpetuate Meuris’s legacy of sportsmanship and passion for the game, the fund will offer financial assistance to young players from low-income backgrounds.
