Missing Anastasia Gilley FL, Missing Pregnant Woman Found In Dothan Alabama EternalTributesOnline, June 27, 2023June 27, 2023 Alabama’s HEADLAND On Wednesday morning, the body of a pregnant woman, 19, from Florida who had gone missing was found in Alabama.According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, the body of Anastasia Gilley was found on an unpaved road near Headland, Alabama, at around 2 a.m.Greenwood, Florida, where Gilley grew up, is a small town in Florida’s panhandle, about 40 miles south of where her body was found. Marquis Devan McCloud, 33 years old, has been taken into custody. He is being held on capital murder and kidnapping charges in Alabama.The deputies said that McCloud has been uncooperative throughout the entire inquiry. It’s unclear if McCloud knew Gilley or not.Reports indicate that many shots were fired at Gilley from behind. The formal cause of death will not be known until after an autopsy is performed. On May 3 authorities in Florida were notified that Gilley had gone missing. She was four months along in her pregnancy, per the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.Her loved ones earlier this week appealed to the general public for assistance in locating her.According to court records obtained by WTVY, McCloud has an extensive criminal history including violence and has spent time in prison in the past. In 2010, he was found guilty of rape and given an eight-year prison term for the crime. The exact date of his release is unknown, however he was cited for speeding in 2013.He faced new rape charges in Quitman County, Georgia, in 2015.Another rape case against him from 2017 was dismissed by a grand jury.In 2021, he was taken into custody once more on charges of aggravated violence in connection with the slitting of another man’s throat. It would appear that Dougherty County, Georgia is handling these kind of issues.McCloud was apprehended not just for sex offender registration violations but also for terror threats, robbery, and criminal mischief.McCloud’s criminal record begins in 2008, when he was still a teenager.Child support for two children born to McCloud in 2014 and 2018 has prompted a lawsuit from the Department of Human Resources.
