Peter Panousis Obituary, Member Of Sydney Basketball Association Has Died – Death Sammy Loco, August 28, 2023 Peter Panousis Obituary, Death – On August 25, Peter Panousis, who was a much-loved member of the City of Sydney Basketball Association, passed away with his family at his side in a quiet and serene manner. He was a member of the association for many years. When Peter’s children Andrew, Pam, and Vanessa first started participating in our Saturday local competition for CYS, he became involved with the City of Sydney Basketball Association (CSBA). CSBA stands for the City of Sydney Basketball Association. The City of Sydney Basketball Association is referred to by its abbreviation, CSBA. Peter was on the CYS basketball committee for a combined total of well over 15 years and served as president of the CYS basketball club for a period of time that exceeded ten years. During this same time period, Peter was an ardent advocate for the growth of the sport at the grassroots level and he encouraged others to do the same. When Peter’s children began playing representative basketball for the Sydney Comets, he was one of the first persons to volunteer to be the team manager. His children were members of the Sydney Comets. His participation did not end there; he was also a valuable member of the CSBA’s Representative Committee, Fundraising Committees, and CSBA tribunals and judiciary panels in addition to the aforementioned roles. When Peter’s kids first started participating in sports, he was one of the first people to step up and volunteer to manage their team. He was consistently one of the first people to offer to do bench duty when it was needed. In addition to that, he was the grill master and contributed to the organization of a number of different presentation nights. Obituary
