Ruby Kessler Obituary, Death – Ruby Roberta Kessler, who passed away on September 1, 2023, was a resident of the Sundale Nursing Home up until the day she passed away. She was born in Morgantown, West Virginia. When she passed away, she had reached the age of 100 years old.

Ruby was born on December 23, 1922 in Morgantown, West Virginia; however, both of her parents, Sadie and Solomon Dalton, had passed away before to the birth of their daughter at the time of Ruby’s birth. Sadly, Ruby never met either of her parents.

Ruby was a longtime member of the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, where she was an active participant in the church’s kitchen on a daily basis, preparing meals for a broad range of congregational events. Ruby’s contributions were greatly appreciated by the church’s membership during her whole life. She became well-known for the several delectable delights that she produced, including, to name just a few examples, potato salad, pumpkin pies, and turkey dressing.

She is survived by her children, Hilda Lakatos and her late husband Albert, Velma Howell and her husband Ronald, and Randy Kessler and his wife Brenda; her siblings, Patty Hilling and Velma McDonald; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and the children of Patty Hilling and Velma McDonald. She is also survived by the grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren of Patty Hilling and Velma McDonald. She also has eight grandkids, eighteen great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren left behind after her passing.

Her children Erma Mae and Wilma Fae Kessler, as well as her husband Bert Kessler, as well as her siblings Jacob, Eugene, Prentiss, Solomon Jr. Marcella, Wilma, Opal, Rachael, Ann, Melva, Okey, and Carl, all went away before she did. Her husband Bert Kessler also passed away before her. Her spouse passed away before she did as well. In addition to her own parents, both of her children, Erma Mae and Wilma Fae Kessler, as well as her husband, Bert Kessler, passed away before she did. She was the only surviving member of her immediate family.
