The names of the two people who were riding a motorbike when they were killed in an accident with a minivan earlier this week south of the Twin Cities were made public on Friday by the relevant authorities. The Sheriff’s Office reports that neither participant involved in the event was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. The information that was provided by the Sheriff’s Office indicates that the driver of the minivan, Linda Vogel, who was 74 years old and originally from Mankato, was able to survive her injuries. Vogel was the person who was behind the wheel. The statements filed by the Sheriff’s Office indicate that the motorcycle was going west on Hill Street at the time of the collision with the minivan. At the time of the collision, the van was making a left turn from southbound Rabbit Road onto westbound Hill Street. At the crossing, the right of way belonged to the biker, as stated by Captain Bruce Collins of the Sheriff’s Department. The collision occurred earlier this week. According to the Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Office, the event occurred at around 8:25 p.m. on Monday in Kasota at the intersection of Hill Street and Rabbit Road.
