Sandra Burns Obituary, A Remarkable Life Remembered Sammy Loco, August 28, 2023 Sandra Burns Obituary, Death Cause – With heavy hearts and a sense of both loss and gratitude, we gather to remember and honor the life of Sandra Warren Burns, a beloved soul who passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Sanctuary Hospice House after bravely battling an extended illness. Sandra’s life was marked by her kindness, dedication, and unwavering faith. Born on October 28, 1947, in Hattiesburg, MS, to Max Elbert and Louella Gable Warren, Sandra’s journey took her through Okolona High School and Mississippi State University, where she excelled and graduated with honors. Sandra’s professional journey was equally impressive. She dedicated 35 years of service to B & B Concrete, Inc. in Tupelo, a testament to her dedication and work ethic. Prior to that, she had touched lives through her roles at the Jefferson County Welfare Department and the Houston public schools in Mississippi. Her impact extended beyond her career; Sandra was a devoted member of St. Luke United Methodist Church for 44 years. Her involvement in the church was extensive, from participating in the choir and the Prayer Ministry to being an active member of the Women’s Bible study, Sunday School class, Hilltoppers, and various committees. As we gather to celebrate her life, we do so with a mixture of sadness and joy. A service to honor her memory will be held at 3 PM on Thursday, August 31, 2023, in the Sanctuary of St. Luke United Methodist Church, followed by burial in Lee Memorial Park. Prior to the service, friends and loved ones are invited to visitation from 1 PM until the service time at the church. In her final wishes, Sandra asked that no one be sad, for she has gone to join her Savior, Jesus Christ. Obituary
