McCormick (Horge). Sharen’s peaceful passing occurred in the comforting presence of her dear friend, Vicky Taylor, bringing solace to those who knew and loved her. Sharen was born on September 5th, 1943, in Madison, Wisconsin, to proud parents James Horge and Louise (Gervais). Her roots ran deep in the Madison area, where she spent her entire life. Sharen’s love for her hometown was evident in her enduring connection to the community. Sharen’s most cherished roles in life were those of a mother and grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy of love and family values through her three sons and their wives: Dave and Sandi Patterson of Whitmore Lake, Michigan, Kris and Amy Eckles of Waunakee, Wisconsin, and Jason and Kris Eckles of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin. Sharen’s pride and joy were her grandchildren: James and Madison Eckles, David Patterson, and Gabrielle and Greyson Eckles. Her unwavering love and support for her family were the cornerstones of her life. Sharen’s commitment to her loved ones extended to her longtime partner, Russel Miller, who stood by her side through life’s ups and downs, providing unwavering companionship and support. Sharen’s journey through life began on East Mifflin Street, and she later attended East High School, where she made lifelong friendships and fond memories. As a dedicated mother, she raised her three boys on the far east side of Madison, creating a loving and nurturing home where family values were paramount. Beyond her family, Sharen was known for her warm and welcoming spirit. Her infectious laughter and kind-hearted nature endeared her to countless friends throughout her life.
