Tragedy Strikes As Three Young Women Lose Their Lives – In a heart-wrenching incident, three young women met a devastating fate when their Uber ride was tragically involved in a multi-vehicle collision at an intersection in Los Angeles. The incident occurred during the early hours of Sunday, leaving a community in shock and mourning. According to preliminary information provided by the California Highway Patrol, the collision unfolded shortly before 5:30 a.m. in the Westmont neighborhood, at the intersection of Vermont Avenue and Century Boulevard. The circumstances surrounding the collision were harrowing: a white Mercedes-Benz sedan, reportedly traveling at an exceptionally high speed northbound on Vermont, collided head-on with a black Honda sedan being operated by an Uber rideshare driver.

Eyewitness accounts painted a grim picture of the events leading up to the collision. The white Mercedes was said to be racing against time, possibly aiming to beat a red light, as it sped along at an estimated speed of 80-85 mph. The black Honda sedan, occupied by the Uber driver and his passengers, was stationary, awaiting its turn to make a left turn at the intersection. As details continue to emerge about the heart-wrenching collision that claimed the lives of three young women in Los Angeles, the profound impact of the incident becomes even clearer. One witness, Victor Gonzalez, shared his heartbreaking experience in trying to help the victims.

“I was trying to help the two girls in the back,” Victor Gonzalez recounted to KTLA. “I started shaking them, you know, and talking to them and waking them up, but they weren’t responding, and they weren’t breathing.  Responding to the scene, officers found one individual lying in the street, having been ejected from the vehicle due to the force of the collision. Meanwhile, another person required extraction from the wreckage at the crash site, underlining the severity of the collision’s impact. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has since identified the three young women who tragically lost their lives in the collision as Juvelyn Arroyo, 23, Veronica Amezola, 23, and Kimberly Izquierdo, 27.
