On August 7, 2023, Tyler ‘Tippy’ Milne passed away in a manner that was unexpected and shockingly sudden. When Tyler passed away, he had just recently become a partner in a new financial advice firm, finished getting his real estate license, and moved into a new house. He overcame some mental health challenges that he was upfront, open, and fearless about discussing, yet he still managed to do all of this. On the night before he passed away, Tyler went to sleep knowing that he had lived a happy and fulfilled life, and that he was also successful in his family and business endeavors. His devoted, affectionate, and stunning wife, Leeann (née Martin), as well as his little son, Ryder, will live on after Tyler’s passing. When Leeann first met Tyler on December 31, 2003, they immediately hit it off and became inseparable. He looked to her as his rock in the difficult moments of his life and as his best friend in the joyful times of his life. She was the love of his life. The nature of Tyler’s friendship with Ryder is the best window into understanding who Tyler really is. When confronted with Ryder’s autism, Tyler replied with zeal, vigor, and optimism. They were a common sight at places like Ripley’s Aquarium, the ROM, and the Beaver Valley Ski Club’s slopes when they were both present. It was through the love, kindness, and perseverance of Tyler that he assisted in Ryder’s development of great knowledge as well as a pleasant, joyous approach to everything that he does.
